WOODSTOCK, Vermont RETREAT

Hope you can join us next year

Treat yourself to the inspirational, renewing experience you deserve to kick off 2021 and the next decade of your life.

Over your four magical days at the beautiful Woodstocker Bed and Breakfast, in the heart of Woodstock, Vermont, you will get a taste of my life visioning workshops, explore the wonderful possibilities of your “third act” and engage in exciting “bucket-list” experiences . This small group experience is made even more magical in the company of like-minded, supportive women.

After our morning workshop, each day we will venture out to go dog-sledding with the Braeburn Siberians, handle and learn about falcons and owls with New England Falconry, and explore your creativity and design your own pottery dish with renowned potter, Miranda Thomas.

After the weekend, if you would like to continue your exploration, you can opt to follow the “Blue Sky Life Vision” process virtually with 6 sessions of group Zoom Video calls and personal one-on-one calls.

Miranda Thomas, of Shackleton Thomas, is a renowned potter. Her pottery is collected in hundreds of homes, including those of celebrities and dignitaries. She has designed diplomatic gifts for President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, UN Secretary Generals Ban Ki Moon and Kofi Annan, and the Clinton and Obama administrations. www.mirandathomaspottery.com

About Woodstock, Vermont

The quaint, historic town of Woodstock, is renowned for its awe-inspiring natural beauty, its rich history, arts culture and exceptional food. It’s a picture-perfect, quintessentially "Vermont" town with scenic mountain vistas, natural areas surrounding it. Its rich history began when it became the hub for entrepreneurs in the late 1700's, including some of Vermont's early manufacturers, craftsmen and artisans. Later, when large mills and factories came about in the 1800's, the small manufacturers were driven out, forcing Woodstock's industry and residents to move away, causing a sharp population decline. Luckily, construction of the railroad enabled Woodstock to connect to larger cities and reinvent itself as a tourist destination.

Nestled in the Green Mountains, its very close to Hanover NH and all sorts of fantastic outdoor recreation (ski areas, hiking, golf, etc) Today, Woodstock continues to honor its heritage in artisan culture and tourism, celebrating its historic American charm, outdoor recreation, boutique shopping, farm-fresh dining, and a thriving community of artists, makers, and local tradespeople.

Woodstock is just about two and a half hours from Boston, MA. and Hartford CT., and just over an hour from Keene and Concord NH.

Meet the FOunder / Facilitator:

Diana Place

In my late fifties, like many other women, I found myself at an exciting transition point.  Despite the emotional challenges surrounding a cancer diagnosis and treatment, departure from my latest entrepreneurial venture, The Global Design Post, the unfamiliar preparations to becoming an empty nester as my daughter heads to college -- I have been filled with deep gratitude, joy and reignited passion for this next phase of my life.

Third Act Quest is my way of living my passion to support, inspire and connect women as they create their “third act” of life, and helping to empower optimism versus fear and dread, and respect versus disregard and disfavor in our culture.

Through retreats, workshops, community, resources as well as a series of published profiles and interviews featuring “third act” women, I can help change perceptions of this important stage of life.

I am thrilled and feel enlivened to be focusing my energy here for my “third act” and hope to meet and speak with you.
